Beginning today, April 21st, 2015, Google will expand its current algorithm to include mobile-friendliness. This translates to: if your site isn’t mobile-friendly, your ranking will suffer. It’s a move that has been in the works for some time, and one that Google hopes will create a more positive search experience for the mobile user.
