iBec Camp Returns With A Bang

After going on hiatus for a few years, iBec Camp officially returned in 2022! We packed up our bags and embraced lake life in Oakland, Maine to work and play as a team for several days. Complete with fireside stories, s’mores, kayaking, a midnight dip in the lake, and lots of yummy food made by various iBec team members, we can confidently say we’re glad that we’re able to gather as a team again. It’s been said over and over again but adjusting to living life alongside Covid has not been easy. With hybrid work environments becoming the new normal, it’s more important now than ever to plan those fun events where coworkers can unwind, enjoy each other’s company, and form a few inside jokes.

Enjoy a mini photo dump of some of our shenanigans captured by photographer Garrick Hoffman and read on to hear about what else we’ve been up to this past month!

Our 537th Website Launch: Drummond Woodsum School Law

iBec has been happy to partner with Drummond Woodsum, a nationally recognized, full-service law firm, for several years. Our most recent project, a site created specifically for school leaders, features a fresh redesign of their main site and sub-branded sites. Providing educational resources to school leaders, this new design gives visitors a simple and enjoyable discovery path to training videos, upcoming events, and more. On-brand with the other Drummond Woodsum website, the School Law site carries the same level of expertise and trust their clients have come to expect and appreciate.

Quarterly Company Matching: Save Our Oceans

As a Certified B Corporation, iBec embraces a quarterly initiative for supporting our environment or community by matching donations made by iBec employees to nonprofits within that quarter’s area of focus. This past quarter, our directive was to Save Our Oceans. Two of the organizations that received our support are Saltwater Classroom and Maine Coast Heritage Trust.

Saltwater Classroom

From their website: “Saltwater Classroom is a 501©3 non-profit organization that aims to solve pressing ocean issues by instilling an ethic of ocean stewardship in today’s youth through the transformative power of education.

Through weeklong workshops driven by engaging lessons, hands-on experiments, meaningful field missions, and creative projects, Saltwater Classroom allows participants to connect with the marine environment and build a foundation for a lifelong commitment to ocean stewardship.”

Maine Coast Heritage Trust

From their website: “Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) is a nonprofit land conservation organization protecting and caring for vital lands on the coast of Maine. Through the generosity of donors, MCHT has made an extraordinary impact since its founding in 1970, protecting over 170,000 acres and 330 islands, including over 150 public preserves offering over 100 miles of hiking trails.

We’ve partnered with individuals, businesses, organizations, and communities to conserve iconic islands, critical wildlife habitat, coastal watersheds, water access sites, downtown greenspaces, and epic places for people to explore. Our priorities are mitigating the impacts of climate change on the coast, protecting vulnerable plants and animals, expanding access to the coast, and serving Maine’s coastal communities.”
