The Great iBec Camp of 2023

The October 2023 Newsletter —

There aren’t a lot of companies out there that can claim their employees would be willing to stay in a house together for two nights. However, over here at iBec, it’s something we look forward to every year! As a hybrid workplace, iBec Camp has become especially important as a time for us to come together to work, play, and get those creative juices flowing in a new environment.

This year we headed to a lakeside house in Sanford, Maine. We got lucky with some September sunshine and enjoyed our afternoons by the pool. We may have even spied Becky working on her laptop in the pool! After a lobster dinner on Saturday, we gathered around the fire or in the hot tub and just enjoyed each other’s company with lots of laughs. We’ve included a couple of bonus shots to help paint the picture:

Measuring our positive impact as a B Corp

While iBec has always been a force for good, certifying as a B Corporation means we get to put a stamp on it. In order to continue to qualify as a B Corporation we’re responsible for continuing to track our efforts toward making a positive impact in a number of categories. Now we’ve made those measurements public! Head to our website to view our Annual Impact Report and learn what makes us a B Corp.

iBec launches our Embrace Purpose Grant

We believe that all organizations, regardless of their budget, should have access to the resources they need to make a meaningful impact. That’s why we’ve created the iBec Embrace Purpose Grant! We’ll be choosing a non-profit applicant each quarter who falls within the category of our giving theme for the quarter to receive support within one of our service categories.

Congratulations to the recipient of the Social Justice Activism in Maine category, Cultivating Community! Cultivating Community grows sustainable communities by expanding access to healthy, local food; empowering children, youth, and adults to play diverse roles in restoring the local, sustainable food systems; and modeling, teaching, and advocating for ecological food production.
