Happy Holidays From iBec Creative!

No matter how you celebrate the holidays, approaching the end of the year is always a good time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. Here at iBec, we have a lot to be thankful for over the past year. 2022 was the year we officially became a Certified B Corporation™! Not only that but we celebrated our sweet 16 birthday, launched 34 websites, and spent 81 hours volunteering. Plus we got to enjoy coming to work with like-minded, passionate people looking to make a difference every day. This year, we’ll be setting our goals for 2023 with some group vision boarding. We hope you’ll use this as a reminder to set your sights on the things you have to be thankful for that are behind you and the dreams youf have ahead of you! ‘Tis the season to give back

Every year around the holidays iBec likes to do something to show how much we appreciate our clients. While historically we have put together thank you packages and cards, the past couple of years we have decided to make a donation to a purposeful charity instead! This year we decided to make a donation to Cultivating Community. Their mission is to “grow sustainable communities by expanding access to healthy, local food; empowering children, youth, and adults to play diverse roles in restoring the local, sustainable food systems; and modeling, teaching, and advocating for ecological food production.”

In addition to making a monetary donation, we also used the funds collected by redeeming cans and bottles around the office this past year to purchase several items on Cultivating Community’s wish list.

40 under 40 MaineBiz Awards

Congratulations to our fearless leader, Becky McKinnell, for receiving one of the coveted 40 Under 40 MaineBiz Awards! The award is designed to recognize 40 young leaders in Maine that stand out as powerful influences on Maine’s business community. A group of iBec employees were there to cheer her on as she walked the red carpet. Her walkout song of choice? August by Taylor Swift. Congratulations, Becky, you deserve it!

iBec recertified as a Woman Owned Business

Of course we’ve never NOT been a woman owned business but this past month we retained our certification from WBENC. The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council is the “largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States.” Being an official Women Owned Business provides iBec with a network of diverse, like-minded executives and other female business owners. Plus it gives us exclusive rights to display the official Women Owned Business logo loud and proud!

Dev Day Spotlight

“Creative” is our middle name. Oh wait.. Creative is our FIRST name! In honor of creativity and continually pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, each quarter we host an internal ‘development day’. It’s a day where (as long as we are on time with all our deadlines) we take time to focus on something we want to learn that we think would bring value to our current and future clients.
